While Senator Obama sat on the Woods Fund board with Professor Ayers three things happened: (1) On 9/11/01 our nation suffered the worst terrorist attack on American soil, (2) Professor Ayers admitted in an article in the New York Times published on the day of those attacks that he has no regrets about his own domestic terrorism against the very same cities that were successfully hit that very day by his Islamic counterparts (Washington, D.C., New York City), (3) Senator Obama continued to sit with Professor Ayers on the Woods Fund board for over a year after 9/11, as they, in consultation with each other and other board members, distributed philanthropic resources to causes they thought worthy of support.
